Kailash-Mansarovar Yatra

According to Hindu ways of living Kailash is recognized as the abode of Lord Shiva, who resides there along with his consort goddess Parvati and their children, Lord Ganesh and Lord Kartikeya. The Sanskrit word Manasarovar is a combination of two Sanskrit words, ‘Manas’ meaning ‘mind’ while ‘sarovara’ means ‘a lake or large pond’. Manasarovar is taken as a reflection of ‘cosmic consciousness’. Among Hindus Kailash-Mansarovar yatra is considerd to be most sacred and one has to be truly fortunate to be blessed by this inexplicable experience. There are over-land and helicopter packages available from Kathmandu.
